People can enjoy a number of events at the Dudley Council run Himley Hall and Park this month.
This Sunday (9 February) from 11am to 3pm there will a wedding fayre hosting more than 25 wedding exhibitors including bridal wear, men’s outfits, photographers, cakes, florists and many other great ideas for the couple’s special day.
People can explore Himley Hall and the grounds during the event and groups can pre-register for free entry at www.himleyhallweddingfayre.co.uk
Wall Heath Camera Club’s ‘Life Through the Lens Part Two’ and work from the Photographic Image Club will be on display until Sunday 29 March, featuring works from local photographers. People can find out more about the Wall Heath Camera Club at www.wallheathcameraclub.weebly.com
People can see an exhibition of contemporary fine art by Warwickshire artist Andy Sargent at the hall until Sunday 5 April with his collection ‘The Abstracted Emotion’. Andy is an artist who lives with the effects of a serious spinal injury, which often limits what he can do, and in 2015 he took to making his art his full time career, after being ill health retired from his job in the Civil Service. The hall will also hold ‘The Old Curiosity Shop’ from Saturday (8 February) until November. This is an exhibition bringing together an eclectic mix of private collections, ranging from antique cameras and microscopes to Lego and designer handbags.
Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:
"I’m delighted that Himley Hall is holding this range of events and exhibitions this month, they will help to brighten up February for all our visitors.
"The wedding fayre is popular with local couples who are looking for inspiration for their special day, and where better to tie the knot than our impressive hall."
